Hello, I modified your assets and intend to use them in my own game
However, the issue is that I plan to make my game a paid title, yet
I used the free version of the assets. Do you allow this?

No, you need the premium license to use these assets and anything derived from it in commercial projects. :)

(+1)

Hey, I was just wondering if you will update and/or add new assets.

(+1)

Love the art btw!

(+1)

Howdy! I'm working on an 8x8 asset pack bundle right now, after that I plan to turn this into a bundle with about 5 other packs. :)

(+1)

Can i use this assets for my tutorial if i credit/mention in the video and leave all the links to this asset pack in the description?

Absolutely! :) Feel free to post the link to your tutorial here. I'd love to see it.

new episode coming soon...

I am using this asset pack in our game Pine Valley.  We purchased the full pack since this is a commercial game. Could use some farming/fishing animations and/or mine assets. Thank you

The mentioned rework of my tutorial is now complete. It’s much more beginner-friendly and has been translated by YouTube into seven languages. For everyone who wants to use this asset set, here are a few ideas and possibilities!

Thanks again for the amazing asset pack! I’m now wondering — is this one of the most widely used packs out there? :)

lol, idk about that, but thank you for making these tutorials. :)

(1 edit)

is this asset pack ok to be used in a game jam? i mean the free one

(+1)

Yes. :) Good luck with the jam!

(+1)

❤️

(-1)

What is the FPS of these animations

(+1)

That's up to you. I tend to like 12 or 16.

(+1)

12 works well thank you

(1 edit)

I didn't realise i already had donated for this. and just donated again lol.

so is the only change between free and paid is the licence why are they vastly different sizes i mean the free pack is a lot bigger in size then the paid..  so which has the most assets

The free pack has a noise filter over the assets to show what is in the premium pack without allowing use of the assets. That filter makes the files bigger. You should still be able to download the free assets and see for yourself. :)

A new tutorial using your assets is now online. I’m also reworking the entire series to make it more beginner-friendly.

How is your game coming along? Will it be released soon? We’re all really looking forward to it — and to more assets in this style.

Many thanks!

(1 edit)

Looking great! Thank you for making these tutorials. :)

I just launched my demo! Full release of the game is a while aways yet, it's a large game, but getting the demo done was the big hump I wanted to get over. I'm working on some assets now. :D I've got a series I want to work on first called Little Legends (not set in stone) which will be an 8x8 asset pack, after I start that I'm going to work on some stuff for Mystic Woods, maybe add some new packs to that series. :)

I’ll definitely try out the demo! Are you planning to release it on Steam? It’s great to see how well you’re progressing with this game!

would the godot tutorial also apply for game development in javascript, im making a top down game level for my end of year project and would like to know :)

Hello,

I just download your sprites, thanks for the quality I really like the design !

I have a question, I try to use it in Tyled software, how do you create your tileset from your sprite folder ? do you recommand a software and a method ?

Thanks in advance !

Maybe this is for you:

Hi! I really love your assets and I’m very curious what color palette you use here and in your current project. I’m currently making my own game and I’m very inspired by your style 🙂

Howdy! Thank you. :D I make my own color palettes. It was something I decided to do early on to build the skill of picking colors.

(+2)

Thank you for the amazing artwork, your character became the main character in my open source game:  https://github.com/AgentRateLimit/Mobhold

(+1)

Eyyy, that looks great. :) Nice work!

(1 edit) (+2)

Thanks for the amazing assetes!  just updated my game using it!

I would love if you all could check it out!

(+3)

Love the cute and cozy look! Would be great to add a female character.

(+2)(-1)

Thank you! I'm working on my own game, so I don't update often, but I've got a female character designed and planned for the next update. :)

(+2)

can I use this for my game but the game will be paid (free version)

(1 edit) (+1)

Commercial games require that you own the premium version. :)

(+1)

Hey there, I love to work with your assets! As I'm building a game and a tutorial on it, I wanted to ask you, if you are still willing to update the pack? I would love to see Bow an Arrow in in the hands of that little dude and maybe Sword and Shield... What du you think about such an update?

(-2)

Howdy! Yeah, I will update it in the future. All of my spare time right now is going towards finishing the demo for my own game though. :)

Happy to hear that. :) Is it Zoe that you're working on? looks very promissing.

It is, yeah. :) Thank you!

Next Tutorial with your assetes is online!

https://pixiesgamedev.itch.io/the-island-tutorial-part-2

I bought the paid version on 06/05/2025, so it’s all good to use in my project, right? I know it says it’s okay—I just wanted to mention that I did buy it

Yeah, you're good. :)

Endeavor, please activate version 2.1.

Done. :)

What is the dimensions for the player Im trying to separate the sprites

48x48 iirc. :)

thx

(+2)

Thanks for the amazing assetes! just finished my game using it!

I would love if you, and you all could check it out!

(+1)

Thats an interesting take on the pack good job tho it looks very nice!

Thank you!

(+1)

Thank you for the great Asset! I'm starting to create a game with it and I'm also making an tutorial for it. Here is the first part:

(1 edit)

i dont know why but i just purchased the pack and i cant download it, i cant refund it neither

(1 edit)

Itch is the one that handles transactions. You may need to contact their support. :) Seems like they were having issues earlier, unsure if it's related.

(+1)

yeah its itch you cant download anything srry for bothering <3

Hi, It would be nice if there was roofs for the buildings and different types of walls.

Thanks

Hello,

It would be great to have some extra enemies and building.

Thank you!

hi! the sprites are really cute! can i use them on my game if i leave your credits when i publish it?

Howdy! Thank you. :) Absolutely, they're made for you to use.

 Thank you. :)

(1 edit) (+1)

Can someone please explain this to a beginner:

I bought these sprites today and it is written that this is a 16 x 16 Tile size pack. So I created a 16x16 map and imported it together with the player sprite in my game (I use pygame) . But the Player on that map is as big as a tree. How can I fix that? In the readme it says that the player sprite is 48 x 48...do I have to create the map im 48x48 too to fix the proportions?

Thanks in advance

(1 edit) (+1)

The player is on a 48x48 grid, but most of that is padding (for me to have some extra room for animations in the future). The player should fit on a 16x16 grid, and the map tiles should be at 16x16. What engine are you using? It sounds like a scaling issue. The resolution of the player's pixels should match the map tiles.

(+1)

Honestly, this was the one I needed, but please add some more characters not required for the premium version. Thanks for your work!

This looks great, but I hadn't seen it until now because it doesn't have the "16x16" tag that I normally use to filter. You should add it!

(+2)

Done, thanks. :)

(1 edit)

Thank you, Cool sprites! I took some insperation of pixel style

Check them out in my game!

(+2)

How do you create these assets? Is it some kind of digital art app? Pls say the name.

(+1)

Aseprite. :)

(-4)

ok but that is not a free software. Do u know any free software for this purpose?

Asesprite is open source, you can compile the source code yourself and then it is free.

https://github.com/aseprite/aseprite

(-1)

Ok thank you

PS what do u think of Krita

Not sure if you're still looking but you could try something like pixilart or piskel. I believe they're free and on the web. There's also libresprite which is basically a free aseprite.

I've compiled aseprite from source myself and honestly it's worth just paying if you can spare the money. it's a great pixel art program.

I haven't used krita myself but I hear it's in general a good drawing program. Might be worth a look.

Ok i did download the files but i don't know how i should compile it :( .  Can anyone help me out?

download googles new IDE agenic software. Open the folder with the downloaded files you saved on your computer. I would recommend using a drive that doesn’t have your OS or any other important files on it. When you have the folder opened in a new agent window Use Claude Opus or Gemini 3.0’Pro or fast and tell it you want to compile it and get the software running. It shouldn’t have a problem.

there's also pixelorama for specifically pixel art based stuff (tentative) and that's also free :3

thanks :)

Thanks a lot for sharing this art, I used your character for this game

Hi, I am a 5th grade teacher making a simple story-driven game that follows the book The Phantom Booth. I am curious about the possibility of making sprites and/or other assets that would fit the game, and what that might cost if you were able? More so the characters than anything else. Thank you

(+1)

Hi, I was wondering if I could publish my game with the player sprite. I changed up the hairstyle and clothing. I just used it as a base that i kind of traced over. I attached a file of the character i designed from your base player.

You can, yeah. :) That looks great.

thanks!

Hello, a simple question, could I publish my game for free, just as a practice, and so that people can give me advice, since I am new to programming, if I use your sprites. In addition, I will mention the creator of these sprites and the itchio page
(+1)

Yeah, these sprites are meant for you to use. :) Good luck with your game! Programming can be some of the best fun you'll have.
